I am not against rich people……………even I want to be super rich……………..
But today when major news channels beamed with happy praises that Indian (read mukesh ambani) is richest person on earth……….I did not find any reason to be happy……………..may be because I had just read the news about thousands of poor people are marching (read janadesh campaign) from gwalior to delhi…………on their foot all the way……….around 350 kilometrs…………..to ask the government to do justice……………….to help them to get rid of the poverty.
Do this democracy and its present GDP is doing any good to majority of its people……….or it is serving only few rich people to get more rich…………….

Yes today I am not happy………..although I like India shining phrase, although I feel immensely proud when I hear anyone from India doing fine at international level………..although I have invested in shares…….and sensex is unbelievable……………….I am not happy. In fact I am feeling bit sad L

Following are the information linkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkks…………….

Janadesh is a Hindi word, signifying “The Verdict of the People”. It is also the name of a national campaign on land rights in India launched by the movement Ekta Parishad. The campaign was launched in 2005 and will culminate in October 2007, in the form of a 350 Km foot march involving 25,000 people, the majority of whom will be landless Adivasi and Dalit
Scores of people from across the country, who are part of a marathon protest march against displacement from their land or denied access to traditional sources of livelihood, today reached Delhi to air their grievances.
In the unprecedented campaign for restoring land to the displaced due to industrial projects, nearly 25,000 people, including adivasis and Dalits from 18 states, are on the 325-km padyatra from Gwalior to Delhi. They are agitating under the banner of Janadesh 2007, to press for the rights of tribals and Dalits over 'jal', 'jungle' and 'zameen' (water, forests and land).
The march, which began from Gwalior on October 3, entered the national capital late this morning from Badarpur area. It has been organised by the Ekta Parishad, a grassroots organisation which has been working in many parts of India for the past 30 years to ensure poor people access to livelihood resources. ''What is our future? We don't get adequate food, don't have a roof over our heads and don't have a place to bury our dead. Why?'' said an agitated Lakhi Prasad, who hails from Jharkhand

In one estimate, the total amount of wealth in foreign bank accounts of politicians is $110 billion US dollars. Please compare this figure with the Indian national budget. The total industrial infrastructure development needs of the country to be on par with some of the developing countries is valued at $200 billion. State and Central Government of India have already borrowed $90 Billions for Infrastructure and Road Developments. Now where did this money go ? Footnote: WHO report - Over 60 million children in India go hungry every night on one meal a day. Most are forced to work in dangerous environments of factories, in order to feed themselves and their families. It costs 3 USD a month, to send a child to school. Can any crime against humanity be worse than this ?. Source : Portrait of India
